We are excited to share the wonderful things God accomplished during the Youth Retreat in December 2024. First and foremost, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support, which played a vital role in the success of the retreat. Your contributions made a significant difference, allowing us to carry out the event smoothly without difficulties. We truly appreciate it!
The Impactful Youth camp, this year was entitled “Level Up “. It took place at Hope Africa University Campus, from December 26 to 30, 2024, bringing together over 250 teens and their teachers from 49 different churches across Burundi. The purpose of the retreat was to prepare young believers to live a life that gives witness in the Father’s vineyard. The goals were: Helping God’s children to rekindle the will of bringing the lost, regaining strength and level up in their relationship with God; and also learn a very easy skill to share their faith with others.
Over the course of three days, participants engaged in devotionals based on Ephesians 6:10-20.
· Day 1 focused on the Mission before us, where they explored the important tasks ahead and how they can fulfill them.
· Day 2 highlighted the Dangers around us. Participants learned to recognize and navigate the war they face in their mission.
· Day 3 pointed the Power within us. Teens were taught to discover the strength and confidence that comes from their faith, and share boldly their faith with others.
After the lectures, on the third day of the retreat, the teens did an On-the-job training to put their new found skills into action. They engaged in real-life evangelism experiences and shared their faith at COTEBU Market and Bus parking. All together reached out to 446 people; 191 received the gift of Eternal Life and 140 were encouraged to deepen their relationship with God.
